Name Plates Empty Name Plates

So, I'm just wondering what size name plates I should be ordering for a 4" agri that will fit the scale nicely. I obviously understand that the length of the plate is dictated by the length of the name, I'm thinking more along the lines of size is dictated by the characters height. And then how do folk attach them to the engine?

Any help appreciated.

Hi Kevin,

I contacted Alistair at A J Cook engineering and he made mine for the roller - they are outstanding! If you chat over what you want he’ll make some proofs that you could print out and try against the engine...Name Plates Af251110

Thanks for that NorfolkModelSteam, I'd sort of guessed at 30mm or 1.25" so wasn't that far out! Shall be in touch with Alistair sometime this week, even though I'm a long way off from actually having somewhere to stick the nameplates onto.

(I take it that is A. J. Cook in Soham?)

Hi John,

Yes that’s the company! I can not recommend them enough, I’m very happy with the plates they made for me, Alistair even drilled the motion guards and provided the fixings for me to make it super simple for the novice that I am!

Best regards,

Greg

Hi Kevin,
You might want to consider David Fieldhouse @  www.nameplates.wix.com/name-plates
I opted for him because he was almost half the price of others I'd tried and he offers money back if your not 100% impressed.
Result was machined from 4.7mm brass plate and outstanding.
I opted to mount mine on the wooden door of the Agri tool box.
Best Regards Chris
