Flapwheel grit
I have seen the good old flapwheel mentioned in regard to finishing kit parts. What grade grit wheel would be recommended please?

I have used 40 and 80 flap wheels, barrel sanders and disks.

Re: Flapwheel grit
I have used flap wheels in the electric drill very useful even more so when they have worn down a bit as they get into smaller spaces. Flap discs in the angle grinder 80 grit, fantastic way to profile the edges of spokes and other parts, but caution as they can quickly remove too much material. For removing the laser scale on the spokes I found the scotch brite discs in the angle grinder were the best again 80 to 160 grit. They do tend to wear down fairly quickly but save a huge amount of elbow grease! I found the flap wheels did nothing to remove the laser scale.
