Model fair ground show 6-7 April

The 4th model fairground show will be held at the Scarborough fair collection on the 6-7th April, the show gets bigger and better every year. Live entertainment on Saturday night all the museum is own so you can see all the full size and miniature steam and a lot more. Thanks for the reminder Mark, I will get to this one day. I might try to get across on the Saturday. I am particularly interested in seeing the Thriller Noah's Ark that is now resident there and also the Caterpillar ride they have too.

I even missed the Fairground Society AGM there a couple of years ago so hopefully I can get there this year.

What is your involvement with the collection/exhibition?

Hi Brian
All the rides will be operating during the weekend.
I look after the iron maiden/foden for graham and go to all of the rallies with him, and was there at the first model weekend and it has certainly changed a lot since then.

Sorry cant make these dates but will be there late July or early August to see the collection.

Looks like we have been stood quite close to each other in the past but not realised it. I am part of the Saunders crew. My nephew has been looking after Little Billy at Dorset the last two years for Ted and it is normally next to Princess Maude, Graham's own 4CD. I drive the steam Yachts and we also have Little Billy at Pickering to ourselves so we do go out at tea time for a run to the villiage centre ot Thornton le Dale. I will come and say hi at Pickering this year. dont forget to have a ride on the yachts.

Will you be at the model weekend then? are any engines in steam at the event?

Sounds like we probably have spoken to each other before, it's a small world, if you see the maiden around feel free to come over and say hi, nice to put names to faces.I shall be there at the model weekend, come over and introduce yourself, I'll be the one in an SFC steam crew t shirt. Hopefully there will be an engine in steam or two there normally is, and hopefully we'll have one of the collection ones in steam depending on how things go this weekend lol.

Friday tea time is normally the day we head out to Thornton le Dale. If you ask nicely I am sure we can have you up on the engine too depending where we end up this year. Last year we were next to the arena near the modern fairground and Atkinsons were also in the same area. Therefore, we had an arena to play in with the engine when we wanted too.
