Introduction
Hello All,
I am a 6" builder from Sandach, Cheshire and I am new to this form.
I currently have a 3" Foden and 4" Traction Engine. Having worked at Foden's and show a keen interest in all things Foden, I am very delighted to be part of this fantastic project. Having been a QA inspector at the factory, I know they would have been very impressed to see this build, and I will be proud to drive it around Sandbach, the home town of Foden.
Regards,
Phil

Hello All,
I am using Dwain's account as I have been around his house steaming and trouble shooting his 4" DCC showman engine and thought I would take the opportunity to give you an update on my 6" build. Things are going well after I finally got it on some stands so I could work on the brakes and wheel kits. I did have a few problems with the brake drum studs, they seemed not too be big enough so I have done a modification and made the studs thicker with a deeper thread. The wheels are now painted a scooter red colour, I had a few tins laying around and thought that it looked about right. I am up to-date on the kits and will be putting it on its wheels soon.
I hope to put some pictures of the progress I have made on the forum soon (with Dwain's help, as I am too old to understand this computer technology stuff . If they every build a steam operated computer I will be quids in ).
All the best and bye for now
