For those who have heard me mention Richard Knott in Dorset and his many things steam this is what I have been on about.

If I had my time again this would be my life!!!

The small MaCarthy Organ in the photo's is what I am currently working on emulating.

Cheers Kev.

Kev

That's one hell of a collection there and I notiice that it is Richard Knott who Steve's other Steam Car is for.

I wonder if any of the Foden builders is contemplating a showmans version. There is always one at Dorset, is it the same one, did you see it this year while you were there?

I have to say the railway is imprssive, particular the signalling, is Richard a member of th GL5 association? If you ever head up north next year you want to go to one of the two Gilling Main Line Rallys which feature two days of fully diagrammed train operation to a strict timetable with scale rolling stock and signalling in the same way.

Brian, that's truly amazing model engineering, the detail on the rolling stock is incredible too!!............ If it was'nt for the drivers you could believe the whole set up was full size & "real"!!
I'm well impressed!! There are such clever engineers about!!
Regards,
Tony

They really look silly riding on their 5" engines, but then perhaps we should hold up a mirror!

Jut imagine what it does to your back too, that is why I find 7 1/4" gauge a little more comfortable.

For ground level I have to agree, 7ΒΌ. for raised though, I don't like to see bigger than 5.
