next showmans/roadloco kit...
the long awaited photos of the next kit...
this kit contains a lot of small parts, which usually take longer to make. we are nearly done now but still awaiting some of the castings. these are due in tomorrow (friday).
this kit will/should include the regulator bracket/lever, governor, lubricator and a few other fittings...

Re: next showmans/roadloco kit...
Just to pop in here, but Malcolm (Frostie) and myself were at STW Towers earlier today collecting boilers and bits for Cornish folk, and had a good look around the place.
Let me assure you all, everyone is working really hard to get the next parts out to you all. The showmans control engine is looking fantastic, I looked at it at lunchtime today before Craig had taken the photos in his post, without the govenor and other bits. You lucky boys and girls!!! Maybe there will be a 2" version 1 day.
Thats enough from me,
Tony

Re: next showmans/roadloco kit...
I only want to say is WWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
That kit looks impressive. I am working flat out to be ready to stream with the rest of the team to take in the enjoyment of finishing at the same time. This is going to be in an interesting 6 months to complete the project. Next year I might even take the wife and kids on holiday (as long as its at a rally field somewhere) don't tell her it will be a surprise. I have her Christmas present already sorted....1) overalls to play with the engine and 2) a tin of brasso.
Looking good Craig, thanks for the pictures.

Simpleing Valve
Craig,
Brilliant photos, it's nice to see the top’ fiddly bits’ coming together. The governor is a lovely piece of engineering, I’d have one on my mantelpiece – just to look at!
Looking at the ‘button’ on the simpleing valve, when all connected, this should project forward of the support bracket for the regulator and not be inline. I’m sure you are on top of this, but just wanted to make sure you have got the rod down to the cylinder block the correct length before the kits are dispatched…..
Regards,
Tim

Re: next showmans/roadloco kit...
Hi Tim
Please remember that it is a starting valve not a simpling valve. That may sound a bit picky but there is a huge difference in their function and operation.
You're absolutely right about the postion shown in the photo. This was our first assembly. The actual production rod is about 1" longer than the one shown. Thanks for pointing it out, although this time we were on the ball its still worthwhile making us aware of potential issues.
