Boiler Testing Empty Boiler Testing

Post  RobertHenry Wed 12 May 2010, 6:19 pm

Hi
I am finishing off a 4" Burrell and we are looking to get the Boiler Tested. Over the weekend I spoke to an ex Boiler Inspector and he gave me some tips on what I needed to do. One thing I need to do is get the Pressure Gauge tested against a pressure gauge that the Boiler Inspector will use. I was told that to do this I would need to supply an adaptor so that the two pressure gauges can effectively measure the same pressure. Does anyone know where I might be able to get an adaptor.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Pete

Hi Pete

Not every boiler inspector will want to check your pressure gauge, so check with the one that's actually going to do it. The miniature gauges are pretty accurate. If you do need to get it calibrated then you will need to find out the thread that it needs to join to, otherwise you won't know what adapter you will need.
