STW Production Week Commencing 09/11/2009

Hi Everyone,

Please find the latest news on how production is coming along below.

Burrell 4" Kit 21:

This kit was despatched yesterday 09/11/2009 and customers should start receiving their parcels today.

Foden Boilers:

The additional 10 Foden boilers have now been completed and we are waiting for the Royal Sun Alliance inspector to visit to sign them off.

Burrell 4" Boilers:

All customers requirements have now been met. Manufacture of 15 for stock has been started.

2" Burrell Kit 23:

This is the final kit for the 2" Burrell as Kit 24 was despatched previously. This kit contains the Injector, the Lubricator, any Pipes still due, the Whistle plus any items still outstanding. All the milling has now been finished with a few turning items still to do. This kit is currently the main priority on the shop floor and we anticipate despatching it within the next couple of weeks.

Lykamobile Engine Improvements Parts:

All these parts are now in packing waiting to be boxed up. We intend to depstch this kit tomorrow, Wednesday 11/09/2009.

2" Burrell Driving Wagon:

The order book for the new wagons is now 30. Deliveries will commence during January 2010.

4" Showman's/Road Loco:

The material has been ordered for Kit 1 and 2. Manufacture has now started with the first kit being delivered in December. Those customers who have would like vulcanised front wheels should return their confirmation letter as a matter of urgency or contact us to confirm. This will ensure that there is no delay in the despatch. The order book for these engines is now 25.

4.5" SWB/Artic Foden:

We intend to delivery Kit 1 prior to Christmas to give the new Foden customers something to be getting on with during the Christmas break. It is then our intention to deliver Kits 2 - 6 during January.

Finally:

In the last update we said we had our best two months in August & September since taking over, with 15 new orders in September alone. This was surpassed in October with a total of 34 new orders. Admittedly 24 of these were 2" Driving Wagons, however these are still new orders and something we appreciate greatly. All these new orders are building our order book up nicely and are securing a confident future for us and our customers. Thank you to customers old and new for the continued support and the show of confidence in us and our products.

And Very Finally:

Additional to everything above we are considering offering a 'Buy Built and ready to Steam Service'. This is for potential customers who have the money but just do not have the time to assemble of of our kits. Contact us for further information should this be of interest.
