my 2" burrell
hi all , I have found two things I have having difficulty with , first , my toe straps are way too short and did not fit at all , I got 2 replacements ( one perfect fit ) but they were both R/H ones hehe so still missing a L/H , I also have just come to fit the drive pin peg to my rear wheels but they are both way to big for the holes in the hub . I have been trying to contact stw but with no luck , has anyone found a solution to these ??? thank youuuuu

Re: my 2" burrell
Hi,
I had the same problem with my tow straps. I had them exchanged, they were still a bit tight so i worked on the tow bar a little to make them fit. With regardsto the small drive pin i had no probs. I am sure that STW will sort it.

I had the same problem with the pins and STW send replacements. I tried to recut the threads on the old pins but they are so small it was impossible.

Re: my 2" burrell
Happy New Year everyone ! , hope all of you got some work done on the kits over Christmas ( but chirstmas dinner and mulled wine must take priority of course ) , just one thing , don't use locktite insteant gasket on the tender tank . I used this and had to disassemble the tender and reseal as the gasket reacted with the sealant , hope this helps

Re: my 2" burrell
Hi all,
I seem to have a problem , I fitted the piston .......... so far so good. But it seems to be rather stiff moving in the bore/cylinder block. I tried fitting the gland/ packing and side bars but this hasn't helped. Is it normal to be stiff thus need bedding in or have I been stupid ? please help !!! haha
thank you

Re: my 2" burrell
I had the same issue. Apparently its normal. My problem was i had the gland nuts too tight.
The piston and bore should be ok once steamed a few times i have been assured.
