New member/ builder

Hi all,

As a new member and hopefully by monday a soon to be 6inch foden SWB kit builder, was looking to find out if there any others in sunny Scotland and if any one had any pictures of finished ones at all?

Welcome! I'm also building a 6" Foden.

We're on kit 15 at the minute from the first batch so nobody has one completed. There are some photos somewhere of the one it is being designed from though if you search on the forum.

I have a completed 41/2 Foden Short Wheel Base, been in steam now for 2 years and done nearly 200 hours steaming.  Best of luck with your build, you will enjoy it and once built it is even more fun.  It has been used in Steam Traction Worlds adverts in Old Glory and there are a few pictures on here (mostly taken by Lynn when we have been at the same shows).


This one was at Castle Fraser this year.
I am in Dunfermline in the Kingdom of Fife as it says on the side of the wagon!

Good to meet you at Farming Yesteryear today, hope you will come to the shows on the "East Coast" once your build is underway - look forward  to seeing it.  
It was a great weekend, weather perfect and I (or should it be the engine!!) was awarded a cup for "Best Steam Exhibit" at the show.
