Another cancellation.....

Just heard that Netley Marsh Steam and Craft Show has been called off this year. Was due to be held 20, 21, and 22 July.

Yep Weymouth and Portland is also off this weekend too!!! The weather is bloody shit this year and is going to make it a long painful summer! Still at least it allows the engines to get finished without a rush as they cant go anywhere even if they run!!! I've just taken the crank out of mine as its not going anywhere for a few weeks so I can put the pump drive in

What you on about? I am off to my second event this coming weekend. Got another three events, one each month. Banchory August, East Fortune, September and Strathnairn in October. Rain does not stop play up here my laddie!

Yeah but your'e used to all that nonsense, us soft southern jessies can't cope with a few mill of snow and a bit of wet making the steam rollers slide into a heap at the bottom corner of the field!!!! That said Portland Bill did get 92mm of rain in the first 8 days of July when the average rain for the whole month is only 34mm!!!!!! Just count yourself fortunate that you can go places.

Alveston in Derby is also cancelled as well as Rempstone in Leicestershire.

Anyone hoping to go to the Steam show and road run that Sewards hold in Liss near Petersfield, sadly it has been postponed due to the never ending rain making the field and car park un-useable. On a positive note they have rescheduled it for the 29th and 30th of September when hopefully it will have been dry for a few weeks and it can go ahead.
