It appears that some of the beastly weather from 'up north' has somehow leaked southwards, would those up there please take more care to keep it confined in the future.

Thank you

It's a funny thing, there is no snow up here at all!! It's been cold (minus 10 deg) but bright & sunny. This morning looks like being warm & damp!!
I've only had to use my Defender once this winter to get about in "a bit" of snow & that was in November last year. Since then we've had snow showers etc, but nothing much has settled!! Could be, I might regret saying this!!

It was certainly cold enough in Edinburgh on Saturday night trundling through town in a rickshaw after a few beers to celebrate Englands' win. !!
Cracking day at Murrayfield - cancelled flight on sunday not so !

No snow in Lancashire when I got home from the Lakes on Sunday. However, tons of the stuff on Saturday up Kirkstone pass and into Patterdale. I had just took delivery of my new company car on Friday too, a Landrover Freelander - superb in the snow. The police waved my wife through going up Kirkstone Pass on Saturday afternoon as they were closing it Very Happy

I was alsready up on the fells being blown back down again with my crampons on - great fun.

This is not what those of us who live on the southern fringes of the nation are used to, if I want somewhere to ski I go to Austria, not my drive-way.
