Hi
Have finally got around to putting calico on the roof this morning. What have others used to waterproof the roof afterwards?
Somebody suggested floor paint to me a while ago.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks,
Simon

I used a resin gel coat on Crystal as a full roofer.

Thanks for the replies.
I ended up using Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Satin paint which has given a lovely black finish.
It dries really quickly, is great to apply and I put on 4 coats using less than half a litre.
Would highly recommend this paint and its less than £20 for a litre from Screwfix.

I used floor paint as it is very hard wearing and chemical resistant, ideal when your covering yourself (and roof) in soot, oil, dirty water when you prime and hot cinders.  Laughing Wink

I went to Brewers paints and got high performance off white gloss, I will try and look up the name, which just sheds water and wipes clean to soot and oil with no effort. I did several rallies including Dorset without having to re-coat it.
