Order book & Reduced Deposit Closing

Hi All,

Quick update on the DCC engines.

We took an additional 5 orders at the Great Dorset Steam Fair, (3 Showman's and 2 Road Loco's) taking the order book up to 20.

We are still planning to start manufacture in November and DO NOT intend to over manufacture as the costs involved to produce kits for stock are too high. If you are sitting on the fence and considering placing an order may i suggest you get your order in as soon as possible or there is a real possibility you will miss out. The reduction in the deposit of £400 that we offer will be ending at the end of September, (the reduced kit price has already ended) and we will also be considering raising the basic list price by 5% at this time.

We have had a number of indications from 4" Single Cylinder Burrell builders that they would like a DCC engine to follow on from the engine they are doing. If this is the case then please secure yours with a deposit and we can then hold the first kits until your other engine deliveries have finished.

Well done on the sales at Dorset, shows customers have faith in both yourselfs and the company. My cheque is in the post to you for the Showmans. We still are not sure if we will build the Road Loco along side the Showmans and will let you now a bit later on. The best news is that the Foden parts are now in the process of being completed and will be with us in the near future. Mike
