Missing Gaskets! Empty Missing Gaskets!

Hi All!

Been a while but I'm now at the stage where I can crack on with building our C Type my Dad and I started a few years back.

*** I'm currently fitting the cylinder block to the boiler however I believe there could be a gasket missing between the curved plate that sits on the boiler (F41601-3-1?) and the block itself. I have the gasket that sandwiches between the boiler and this plate however. Having read through all the pages and scanned the Solidworks model I'm still left in the dark... ***

Missing Gaskets! Wp_20110

Our build has been on hold since STW took over Modelworks and due to other commitments. We did manage to obtain the majority of outstanding kits of which some contained various components from other kits due to manufacturing restraints at the time etc. Having started to delve through the boxes we have I do know we are missing the odd part here and there.

No doubt I'll be posting similar queries in the near future!

Hi underwoods.
STW changed the cylinder design sometime ago, it is now cast in one piece.
I do remember seeing pictures posted of the cylinder block in two parts on the forum but posted a long time ago.
Hopefully STW might be able to help - give Steve a ring, he is very helpful.

Phil.

Hi Phil,

Many thanks I'll try and get in touch with them. Off the top of your head do you know if any other parameter's were changed with the block? Or was it just the case of keeping the original design and casting it with the saddle plate as one component? If so I can make a gasket and carry on.

Regards,

Will
