Any rough idea on what the next 4.5 foden kit to go out is, seems like forever since we received our boilers

Re: July, August, September Production photos...
Its when I see pics like this.........
...........that I and I'm sure others forget actually how many kits are actually in production at any one time
Its all to easy to think its just the few folks on here we see building stuff, when in reality for every say 5 builders on the forum we watch there could be 35 or more building we never hear about.

Re: July, August, September Production photos...
Please can we have an update on the first batch 6" Foden? We've only had 3 kits this year and thankfully we are in steam, ours is out on the Bedford Road Run this weekend
I'd just like to know if we are likely to get finished this year or if first quarter 2016 is more likely?

That cylinder block on the vertical mill, is that one of the latest batch for the 4" DCC by any chance? It doesn't look like a SCC.

Re: July, August, September Production photos...
I should say that cylinder block is a 6" Foden compound cylinder block being machined, not a SCC!!

I would say you are spot on Tony, that looks very much like a 6" Foden cylinder block.

Re: July, August, September Production photos...
Hi All,
We are frantically working on the 4.5" Foden kit 24 currently. This is being followed (and being worked along side with when machines etc become available) by the Foden 6" Kit 29.
Last month we managed to satisfy all customers bar these two sets of builders so focus is getting both these kits out as soon is physically possible.
We are hoping to get the Kit 24 out this week and have broken the back of a lot of it but there looks to be a problem with the laser cut cab sides. I will update further once we know more.
The Kit 29 of the 6" Foden is a lot of fabrication and likely to be 7-10 days away. Again as we get through the majority i will update further as it will be easier to give a more accurate date as we get through the parts.
Dean
