2" Build "Hephaestus"
Thought I would start a thread of my build, now that I have a few bits that look like they might end up looking like a 2" Burrell Agricultural.
The name that I have chosen "Hephaestus" is the name of the Greek god of fire and metalworking.

Re: 2" Build "Hephaestus"
Your building a steam engine!! Everything about it will be interesting. Even watching the paint dry in YouTube. Well almost but you get what I mean.

Re: 2" Build "Hephaestus"
Just a few images to show how far I have got.
Gone for Craftmaster LNER Doncaster Green as main body colour
The wheels are Craftmaster Mid Brown (sorry the flash has made them look a bit lighter than they really are)

Re: 2" Build "Hephaestus"
Excellent!
Only one problem. I do not think the lamps are going to fit between the wheels and smokebox. There might be a bit of an interference problem.

And the one in the middle is  probably as heavy as most of the engine, think I may have to settle for the mini ones from MJ Engineering lol

Re: 2" Build "Hephaestus"
The name plate was made by Northburrell on here and the washout plate I bought at the Model Eng exhibition at Ally Pally.
The wash out plate was £7.50 in a bargain box.
The name plate can't rember the price, but had to wait an eternity to get it.

Steamplates every time. Five days from confirmation of design to delivery. Looks far too good to put on the engine and get dirty!

Started a bit of lining on the Rear wheels tonight.
