Post  Steam Traction World Wed 02 Jul 2014, 1:54 am

Dear all,

I'm sorry to say that unfortunately this morning (Tuesday) I was admitted to hospital. I shall be going in to theatre tomorrow morning & hopefully, fingers crossed, shall be home for tomorrow night/Thursday.

Isabel is currently on 2 weeks holiday (this is the second week) which only leaves Steve in the office. Steve is not familiar with Sage or how to despatch the kits and I was the only cover we had (although I'm pretty rubbish at it I can muddle my way thru) so I'm asking everyone to please be patient.

For example on Tuesday I had 3 visitors booked in......as well as managing these plus a steam test he'd booked in Steve also was trying to man the phones, answer emails, order materials, do instructions etc. To get to every call or answer every email therefore is pretty impossible. Should you not get thru immediately or receive a reply straight away then please be patient and try again. As soon as he has chance Steve will answer.

Without Isabel or I there no kits will be able to be despatched. Apologies for this and hopefully normal service will resume ASAP.

Thank you for your consideration.

Regards

Dean

Having been in the factory today I can confirm that Steve was indeed trying to do several things at once. The place was its normal hive of industry with all the machines running and pallet loads of fresh parts everywhere. Thanks to Ian I managed to find the bits of plumbing I needed. [why they use so many different thread sizes on brass fittings I will never know] Always an interesting place to visit.

Post  Steam Traction World Mon 07 Jul 2014, 12:38 pm

Hi All,

Thank you very much for the get well wishes etc. Basically i accidentally put my hand through a window around 2 weeks ago. I thought it had healed okay but then suddenly between 6pm and 9pm last Monday the knuckle in the centre of my middle finger trebled in size, swelling my whole finger to large Richmond pork sausage proportions (no advertising intended!). I visited an out of hours doctor who prescribed some antibiotics and asked me to visit him first thing the next morning. By the time i visited him next morning (after a terrible night) my whole hand had swelled and gone red and i couldn't even clench it. I was then to sent to hospital, an xray, blood tests and swabs taken and cut a long story short admitted.

Both Isabel and i are back to work as normal today. Hopefully things will get back on track during the course of this week and we'll get everyone's kits despatched asap.

All the best

Dean
