Front springs
Did anyone have to take the edge off the front springs to get them through the front spring hanger (haven't got the parts list for its real name) but the bit all the slings go through that attaches to the boiler cradle.
I can get 6 leafs in but they don't sit square.

Re: Front springs
Yes you will need to remove some metal from the end of the springs to allow the shackle to fit over the end. This is an easy task with a flap wheel on an axle grinder or with a file. Whilst you are doing this it is worth looking ahead to kit 7. When you fit the spring shackle F60206 you will also need enough space to fit two thin washers and you will have to remove a small amount of metal to do this.

Re: Front springs
Thanks. Just thought I would ask in case it was the spring shackle rather than the springs. Nice little job for this afternoon.
