Re: Two showman get an outing
Sorry I could not make it myself yesterday, a lot going on at home at the moment. I did get a couple of pictures from James via Danielle's phone at my request so I was thinking of you all. Having a steam up on Boxing day at our house for our little steam apprentice and for anyone else who wants to pop along - some big hills to climb to the pub and the new regulator works.

Multi-Coloured Lights
Hi All,
Been busy between seasons working on the engine, including new lights (thanks to Colin and LiveSteam for the advice on the lights).
All the best,
Brian M

Brian, your engine now looks like it would be more at home in Amsterdam!!
Who does the lamps, I do need to know what components he used for battery, battery holder and LED? so I can finish mine - Maplins I assume.

The lamps where made by Rob, if you check your AGM e-mail his address will be there, otherwise PM me and I will send it across.
Look on the bright side, you could always write out your party invites with a sharp pencil if you can not get the parts .
(Talking about your do, is there room for camping??)

Re: Two showman get an outing
I was looking at the engine the other day and thinking that it was missing something as Mr Wainwright and and my brother were always laughing at my whistle and then.......
I am now in the process of cleaning the engine ready for a get together (can't wait to set this whistle up).
Andy/Kev, please stop posting on your steam, its making me jealous as I want to do the put a fire in the engine but its raining here and I don't like getting wet........

Re: Two showman get an outing
Indeed with an imminent steam test I lit up today to check all was well which it is. No leaks, all worked and nice to have the first steam of 2014!! Last time it was running was 15th December !!!!!! How can I have waited so long!! Looking forward to popping over to Andys to see how the second steaming goes, video to be taken again.

Re: Two showman get an outing
Kev, Good to hear it all went well, looking forward to seeing Andy's second video.
hartshaulage, I got my whistle from Live Steam Models, it was £260 including chain and packaging. The STW whistle does not cut it on a rally field with some good whistles around. I think LSM also do a siren which my brother has, once it is set up they also sound the dogs.
I think it will be 2 weeks before I get a fire going in her; its due to the Rugby you know.......Come On England. I spend a lot of time in Scotland at the moment and they don't like to talk about the sport anymore

Re: Two showman get an outing
Spent most of last week polishing the engine ready for a steam up. All worked well with only a small leak from the STW whistle mounting. Half a turn and stopped that, all else was great. I was a bit surprised as I was expecting problems all over the place as I did a number of mods to the engine over the winter.
All nice and clean (only time of the year).
Generator connected
Got some nice video's of the engine generating, not much more than on tick over. I don't have a you tube account therefore can't post.
Best regards,
Dwain

Re: Two showman get an outing
Hi All,
Not been on here for a while for a really good look around. It seems pretty quiet...
Been busy with mods to the engine, steam test and so on. I managed to find this on youtube (my first video and I did not even take it... )
(mine is the red one pulling the kids.)
(Hope to meet a few of you at Brian's bash, such as Kev and Andy. My B&B is already booked, thanks to my brother.)
