Photo's of 2" Burrell Trailer
Here's photo of my 2" trailer, nearly complete just needs bolts shortening and hub caps painting
I have posted a video clip of it as I have made a few additions so that I would be self sufficient at a rally with regards to power etc
The seat is covered in a piece of vinyl that the good lady purchased at a fabric shop and I stuck it on with copydex.

Re: Photo's of 2" Burrell Trailer
Just to clarify what i said in the video - I use the windsreen washer pump to fill the boiler up at the beginning, NOT top it up when in steam. Just in case you thought I was completely stupid and would try it

Re: Photo's of 2" Burrell Trailer
OK, i need some advice on a colour scheme for the STW control model wagon. we have a clear varnish for the wood and the main iron work/chassis parts will be black, but what about the wheels ???
i think black would hide a lot of the detail, remember this is to be a showpiece for future customers. and we don't really have a 2inch burrell to match the colour to so im looking for a general colour that could go with just about any engine, is typical to the period and will show off the construction of the wheels
please help !!!!!

Which colour
Having now seen the Craftmaster Crimson Lake (maroon) it really suits the engine. It is an old fashioned colour and is practical for not showing the dirt. The enamel is very hard & pretty chip proof as well.

Re: Photo's of 2" Burrell Trailer
yes, great help. thanks.
i was searching for images and the maroon does seem to be popular although im not sure we will be splashing out on a tin of the exact shade. also saw a nice image with a golden brown colour to the wheels but cant remember where
so he res the control model in my garage waiting for a strip down. we will be replacing all of the Kit 3 wood as the current stuff is far to stained to get clean
