Extended Oli Feed Pipe
This might be a bit of a silly question but I've been pondering over this for a while.
When you extend the oil feed pipe from the oil pot to lets say the second shaft
does the wick run the full length of the tube down to the second shaft.
Said it might be a silly one. But then it's not so silly if you don't know the answer.
I have also raised the oil pots for the rear axle so that they are easier to get to.

Hi Jim,
When I extended mine on my Agri, I left the wicks standard length, I did find that I had to top up the pots a couple of times before the oil got to rear axle bearings.

Re: Extended Oli Feed Pipe
Thanks for that Barry.
What I've done with the extensions is to put a drain plug at the second shaft and rear axle
because I was concerned that the oil was not getting there. So I'll remove the plug when
filling up the pot. When oil comes out, put the plug back in and job's done.
Trying to cover all bases.
Thanks again.

Re: Extended Oli Feed Pipe
Where did you guys get the parts for the extensions? The copper pipe and fittings etc.

Re: Extended Oli Feed Pipe
Hi Chris
I made the unions for the rear axle. I shall dig out a photo if you want.
I turned the union from brass hex bar. I also put a plug in the side so
I could make sure the oil was getting down there.
I usually buy my fittings from steamfittings.co.uk and tubing from
maccmodels.co.uk They do annealed tubing. Ideal for these extensions.
I moved the left side second shaft olier 90° to the front. Then bent the
tube back over the second shaft tube and under the pump. Then up
to the spectackle plate.
Hope this helps.
Regards
