Hi, is there a way to check that the channels are clear, and that steam oil is getting into the cylinder ?
I have removed the lubricator, and when i took the copper pipe off the check valve,i had a bit of a pop from the pressure that was in the pipe, between the lubricator and the check valve, is this right ?

Hi

Check you have the non return valve the correct way round. Undo it from the block and test it on the pipework. With the valve chest open you should see oil running in to the valve chest via the steam input at the top of the block. (May take a while to get down the passage and "round the corner"

Thankyou lynn. I'm sure i got the valve on the correct way but I'll double check. Thanks for the advice on how to check in the valve chest.

Hi Chris,
I had the same problem.
Take a look at my post "Please check this".
The oil way was blocked.

Thankyou very much for the advice given... I have just taken the valve chest cover off,and the check valve, and 3mm grub screw and found that the lubrication channel was blocked by some hard swarf. Used an allen key and a small hammer to tap it clear !
