Pitpup 2" tender painting.
Hi Everyone
Got a small project in the workshop. Refinishing Pitpup's 2" agricultural engine tender.
Initial rubbing down then let to dry and see how the surface looks.
Little bit of macro
Now waiting for the paint to arrive.

Re: Pitpup 2" tender painting.
Ok here we go.
All masked off. Doing the outside first then remask and do the inside.
Just after spraying. The paint is starting to flatten out. Fingers crossed!
Starting to get nice and flat.

Re: Pitpup 2" tender painting.
Little bit more progress done.
Painted the inside of the tender. Pictures taken the instant I put the gun down.
The masking is done on the edge only. So no masking tape or pressure on the new paint on the outside.

Re: Pitpup 2" tender painting.
Bit more progress now my right wrist is healing after surgery.
Got a few sags and defects sanded out.
Couple areas of contamination showed up when spraying so rubbed back to primer.
Final (Hopefully) thin high gloss top coat.
I think it is looking good.
Once it has all hardened I will get the beading and tow hitch painted satin black as per request.

Re: Pitpup 2" tender painting.
Well almost there.
Just a little bit of hand touch up to do on the black.
Masked off and ready. The clocks ticking as the red is still soft.
Oops! Its gone all black
Masking all off. Yes a couple of rips that need fixing but overall quite good.
Here is the "Oh bugger!" moment. But easy to fix once the rest is fairly dry.

Once the rain stops I will be finishing off the 2" tender. So there will be space in Crystals bedroom for another project.
