Hi just asking what has everyone been using for paint on smoke box ect im thinking of going gloss black cheers:D

Hi Dave,
I went for the B&Q Stove paint (not their BBQ paint, it's so thin & you need a million coats to get a solid black!). This gives a satin finish, sticks like s--t to a blanket & will cover in one coat. Then when it's pretty much dry, go on with a thin coat of gloss black Hammerite (Aerosol) paint.
This gives a lovely shine & seems to withstand the heat...... Well, it survived my Rayburn anyway!!
