Lingfield Steam show 3 - 4 Aug
Myself and Andy have just had two great days in steam at what is rapidly becoming a major fixture on the calender for miniature owners. Tony the organiser is a miniature owner and wants as many as he can muster and runs a very relaxed and fun show. No restrictions on movements the only let down is being right on the A22 a road run isnt really advisable as the road is just too dangerous to get out onto. 51 minitures on the Sunday with a great range of makes and scales from 6" Burrell showmans, Wallis and Stevens, Allchin, SC Burrell Ag, Dodman, Clayton wagon, GMT, thru 4" of all types down to 2" even a working baler on a RSJ 4" portable.
Two rows needed in the arena!!!
Of particular note was a very nicely finished Sentinel and Dave Jacobs scratch built Burrell with not a single drop of oil leaking form anywhere, dont know how he does it!! This is in steam at 3pm!!!
As many as we could find after the arena for a line up.
Worth putting on the calender for next year, first weekend in August on the A22 near J10 M23.
