Hi all, we are taking our Road loco to the wilton model exhibition. We have pride of place in the foyer. There are around 80 exhibits in the hall and around 8-10 in steam outside, also they are expecting full size scc Burrell traction engine. On Sunday there is a 6" Maclaren road loco expected. I have posted on TT so hopefully we can convert the sceptics, when they see how superb STW engines are. Hope to see you. Regards David Watts.

Hi Kev, we are taking the engine over on Friday evening and we will be there all day on on Sunday. It is a good show, a bit of a treck for you, but hopefully worth it. cant wait to see 6" Maclaren RL. Usually the engines in steam have a run round Wilton. I will bring some pics of our traction trailer. Hope to see you, David.

Hi kev, don't think I can make it on Saturday, of course we will be leaving the engine there. We have hydraulic and steam test on the following weekend. If all goes well we will book in to a few rallies. Which ones are you going to? Regards David.

Old Glory has a small preview of this show in the current magazine and mentioned that there will be a 4" Burrell Road Loco present, well done. I am no able to go to this event, to far away. I would appreciate it if someone has the cance to photograph the Burrell and the McLaren side by side for size comparrison.

Additionally, (sorry to change the subject a little) for those with an interest in fairground rides there will be a 2" scale model of Carters Steam Yachts there, I would dealry love to have seen this with my close association with the Harry Lee set. Also, a superb 2" scale model of Noyces Gallopers under construction. Those of you that do go take a look at these as they are both supposed to be superb. Kev/The Coleman/Rob, photos would be appreciated, especially close up Wink

No problem Brian, I love the scale fair models and would really like to make a set of Chair 'o' Planes one day but all the little fiddley engineering puts me off as I have no skills and equipment in this area and the idea of a years long build puts me off.

Well a lovely afternoon in Wilton today there was some fantastic work on show and the fairgrounds were very good. David's engine looked great, welldone David, and attracted quite a bit oif attention. There was quite a lot packed into a large space and it was very busy making photography a challenge -

but for Brian - the 2" scale model of Carters Steam Yachts. They have to be seen to be believed.

Very impressive!!
Wish there was something like that to see round here!! Rolling Eyes It's all sheep n shooting, & the local farmer has just covered all the fields round the Glen in muck, bloody stinks Shocked S'pose it adds another "dimension" to the Highland landscape as it's lying on an inch of snow Very Happy

Thanks for posting pics,
Regards,
Tony
