Showmans Control Model
Craig
One of my many hats is Chairman of Hampshire Industrial Archaeology and I will be giving a progress update of our build to the membership in November. I wonder if you could post some current updated images of the control model to the forum please which I could use as part of the presentation to show the progress of the control model. If there are any other control models you could add I would be happy to include showing the range of products available.
Many thanks
Rob

Re: Showmans Control Model
Your a star, thanks Craig. It's looking really good, and moved on a lot since I last saw it.
Build presentation
Thought I would update you on how the presentation went Monday evening. It went down very well with the membership. Was a bit worried as some have scratch built engines themselves in the past, restored trams which are now working at the national tramway museum, restored water mills, windmills, a brewery and a whole load of other stuff over the years. Several are involved at the moment in restoring a Babcock & Wilcox WIF water tube boiler, and a 1914 Hathorn Davey triple expansion engine at Twyford waterworks. They should be in steam by September next year after 10 years work.
Anyway like i said it went down really well and they seemed impressed, there were lots of questions and compliments on the quality. Thanks again Craig for the control model pictures, I also included some of the STW images of the factory at the open day (hope you don't mind), and images of other members engines I took on the Saturday.
By the way if anyone wants to come along to our meetings or join the society you are more than welcome. Details can be found here....... http://www.hias.org.uk/meetings.htm
