Good progress today fitting bit and pieces, sorted out the slightly oversized sight glass which was frankly a pain trying to file down one side of a very small round rod uniformly along its length x 4 but got there in the end. Most of the water fittings on now, clacks, injector, balance pipe.

Found a jiffy bag with bolts in sent at some point for something Question but cant remember what Question Question Can anyone give me a clue.... Ta. They are M6 x 25 skt grub and nuts and washers

Might try and do some pictures but dont seem to get good close ups and nothing looks much different from a distance.

Cheers Kev.

Hi Brian,

Theres Only 4 studs so doesnt seem like enough unless thay were to add to or replace some already out?? I do remember either a thread or being told something didnt have enough fixings but haven't got a hope of finding it wihtout even a clue to the search string. I will keep on putting bits on the engine until I find a location that needs them.

Been making steady progress over the last two days, all the water fittings on and finally started the job I had been putting off due to dread... fitting the piston rings... Wanted to be absolutely sure they wouldnt need to come out again and didnt like the sound of trying to "pop" the into the cylinders. May be tempting fate here as I have only done one but it was so easy I shouldnt have got all concerned. Will attempt the HP one shortly, by this rate I will have caught up completely with all the final fit jobs by the end of the week as work is slow at the minute so I have two days off this week with no one around (either at school or work) so I can really crack on, so I expect to be poised like a spring when the next kits lands tongue tongue

Cheers Kev.

Hi Kev,

I have two small fractures in my two HP piston rings, so watch out for that (I have let STW know) as one ring fell apart as soon as it was in place. The LP piston assembly was no problem.

Good luck!

Brian
