4" Burrell Kit 11A - Cylinder Block

Hi All,

I thought you'd all like to see a photo of the cylinder block and cylinder saddle castings that have been delivered today. These will be started as soon as we have completed kit 10.

I your latest production report you say you plan to get Kit 11 delivered before Christmas. Is this Kit 11A and 11B?

I was hoping it might be kits 11A and B (!) but thanks for the info. anyway.

I guess the question that must be on the lips of all current 4" Burrell builders is do you plan to catch up on the start up delays to get back to the schedule that builders signed up to, ending with the last kit in November 09, or do you expect the whole timescale to move on to completion in 2010?

Regarding the boilers the schedule says delivery starts Nov 08. Will these be shipped out in the date order that builders placed their original orders with MW?

We'll probably be building the boilers in batches of 5 or 10, preferably 10 but to some extent that will be dependant build time and cashflow. I suspect we'll go for who ever gets their cheques in first!!! Seriously though, I think we'll offer them in chronological order, seems only fair.

We're going to do everything we can to catch up. Once the Foden is finished, we should start to gather pace. We have already made quite a few sheet metal items ready for future kits, the ashpans and cladding is done as well as the components for the gear guards.

If the boilers are to be supplied in cronological order and
in batches of 5 / 10, is it possible to let each individual
know where they stand in the queue ?

Any news on a delivery date for kit 10 ?

Thanks for the update. Its good to learn that you are planning to catch up and hear that you are already "working ahead". I think I speak for many builders when I say I would be happy if you could actually overtake catch up and bring delivery dates foward, Sorry - I am not trying to put the pressure on - just want you to know that enthusiasm to get on (and give you money!!) still runs high!

All being well kit 10 should be despatched on Friday 14th November if not before. I'll do my very best to have it ready for Thursday so you all have something to do this weekend but would rather play it safe and say Friday.
